Our COVID-19 Response

Gemma Otten
Community Director

Hello, Gemma here!

I am the Community Director at Hope City Foundation.

I have lived in Sheffield for 13 years and married to my amazing husband Stuart and have a very active 8 year old son, called Freddie!

Our passion is to love our city, its people and its communities! We love the city of Sheffield and we aim to meet the gaps in society with fun, vibrant and relevant programmes and projects for all generations.

In the middle of this Global crisis, we believe we should be responding and taking a responsibility to help with the local need. With this in mind and following the Government Guidelines around COVID-19, we have 4 different ways where we would love you to help and play your part during this time.

Hope Hampers Donations

The Megacentre will be open (not to the public) between the hours of 10am – 2pm, Monday to Friday.

The top shutter will be open and the Hope Hamper food bins will be out. Please drop off any food donations to us,  whilst you are out on your essential food shop.

We would value your generosity at this time and would appreciate any dry good foods that we can donate to our Hope Hampers appeal and continual work with the local Food Banks of Sheffield.

Hope Hamper Parcels

If you know of a someone who is in need, this could be a family member or someone within your neighborhood, then we would love to support you. Hope Hamper food boxes are lovingly put together and delivered straight to your doorstep by our amazing team of Volunteers.

Due to the current situation, many are feeling lonely and isolated. We would love to be able to put you in contact with one of our befriending team who are ready and waiting by the phone to talk to you during this time.

My Story

We would love to hear about what’s been happening in your local communities. Maybe you have been able to help support in some way. Lets share some good stories – We want to hear from you!
